The first week of the 2024-25 high school basketball season featured Wellington battling one of Miami-Dade's best teams along with the two top teams in the Treasure Coast battling it out for a spot in the early season #PBCHOOPS Top 5. In the end two of the Preseason Top 5 teams suffered losses but only caused a slight shakeup in the rankings.
